Ahem. Well, I think I’m getting worse and worse! Here are 4 things I’m thankful for:

Day 19 Freedom to homeschool–I can’t imagine what our lives would be like without homeschooling. My husband and I began seriously considering homeschooling when my oldest child was about 2. Praise God we can have control over our children’s education. I’m thankful that I live in a relatively easy state to homeschool in as well.

Day 20 Extra money during December–For the last couple of years my husband has been working on Saturday mornings in November and early December hand-scoring standardized tests for the school system where he works. They get paid per test, and because the rates of the company are so high for machine-scoring, they get paid quite well on an hourly basis (and it’s still actually cheaper than paying the company to machine score). We had heard that they weren’t going to be allowed to do it this year, but were thrilled to find out last week that he would have this extra income source after all.

Day 21 A day of rest–I am so thankful that God established a Sabbath day both for physical rest and a time to fully focus our hearts and minds on him.

Day 22 A short school/work week–As great as I think homeschooling is, I do appreciate a break. One more school day this week! Yahoo!
