Year in Review

Spread the love

I went back through my blog for the past year and posted the first sentence from the first entry of each month. It gives a pretty good overview of my year.

January
It’s New Year’s Day and I have just a second to pop in.

February
This morning I took my semi-annual load of stuff to sell at a children’s consignment sale.

March

Some friends of ours entered a short film in the Christian Film Festival.

April
We’ve had a nice couple of days again, so we’ve spent some time outdoors.

May
This week I gave my older son the Iowa Test of Basic Skills and the CogAT.

June

We’re in our last week of school!

July
I can’t believe it.

August
Last school year we used Elementary Greek.

September

Molly at Counter-Culture mom wrote a good article on the value of catechising children.

October

Simple Pleasures is hosting the Carnival of Homeschooling today.

November
I have been thinking a lot about thankfulness.

December

We put up our Christmas tree this week!  Now it really feels like December.

One blogging goal for this year is to use more pictures!

  1. I enjoyed reading your year in review and added you as a friend. Sorry it took me a bit to get over here. I hope you visit often.

  2. Kristen, great post! I tried it, but it didn't work out as well for me … and I tweaked it twice. LOL!! Where do you host your photos? I don't use as many photos as I'd like because I don't have an easily navigated hosting site.

  3. I use Picasa Web for my photos. I like it because I use Picasa on my computer to organize them, then I just upload them directly to Picasa Web for storage and hosting. The only thing I haven't been able to figure out from there is pictures for use in my template. I've used photobucket for those.

  4. but mine didn't turn out so well. I only had posts for September, October, November, and December because that is how long I've been blogging. Maybe I'll try again this year, and I'm also hoping to post pictures on my blogs. Now that we have a new digital camera and hopefully our computer woes are solved!
